Families will join hands-on workshops in traditional ceramics and alebrije carving and painting, guided by master artisans who preserve ancient techniques and symbolism. Participants will also enjoy an exclusive behind-the-scenes visit to a large creative enterprise employing over 200 local artists, gaining insight into how community-based artistry thrives at scale.

The journey includes visits to sacred archaeological sites, a reforestation and community service project where families contribute meaningfully to local sustainability efforts, and select culinary experiences exploring Oaxaca’s celebrated gastronomy. Along the way, participants will discover how tribal traditions, communal values, and harmony with nature continue to guide daily life in Oaxaca’s peaceful villages— and will even have the chance to live as locals still do, sharing in their rhythms of work, collaboration, and celebration.
