Our core classes weave together creativity, cultural immersion, and hands-on learning. Children explore:
  • Art — including ceramics, mural arts, paper-making, triptychs, mixed media, and culturally inspired projects led by a professional artist and designer.
  • Gardening — seed-to-soil learning, eco-literacy, and hands-on care of living systems.
  • Spanish — a play-based, dynamic immersion approach adaptable for multi-level learners, yet primarily for beginners
Music — rhythm work, instrumental exploration, and practices influenced by pre-Hispanic sound traditions.

Core classes run on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, with lunch included.

Fridays offer optional kids’ cooking, family cooking, and sometimes we host extra workshops or activities. 

EcoLab Kids, which is our specialty ecological construction course for children from 7 to 14 years old, is on Monday and Thursday afternoons.

Yes—but we encourage families to begin with a one-week package first. It gives your child time to settle into the rhythm, meet friends, and discover which classes they love most.

Program Structure & Enrollment

The program in San Miguel de Allende runs September-November, January-April with summer camo from mid June to mid July. Enrollment is flexible – families can join for one week, one month, or full block based on their needs.

No long-term commitment required. Families can participate for as little as one week or stay for the full trimester depending on their travel plans.

Core program costs 3500 Mexican pesos per week and 7000 Mexican pesos per month per child. 12 weeks packages are available as well. Please see our store for more info on what’s included.

Group sizes vary, with opportunities for both intimate small groups and larger community gatherings depending on enrollment.

Classes & Activities

Classes are taught by bilingual staff, providing natural opportunities to learn Spanish while ensuring comprehension in English. Spanish class is all in Spanish!

4-year-olds can participate in most activities. Parent presence is recommended initially for younger children to ensure comfort and engagement.

Ecolab involves ecological construction projects. Children can enroll when they’re ready to commit to hands-on building and environmental learning. Commitment from the beginning is required as safety is taught first.

Yes, age-appropriate activities are available for children as young as 2, with supervision and parent involvement as needed.

Cooking classes are fully hands-on, teaching traditional Mexican cuisine. Some include market visits.

Both options available. Gated communities offer security and amenities, while individual rentals provide more local integration. Group accomodation is organized based on request.

Accommodations start ar $850 USD per month for a studio. Cost is dependent on size, location, season and amenities chosen.

San Miguel is highly walkable with pedestrian infrastructure and great public transit.

Recommended accommodations are within a10 minute walking distance or short transport to program activities, ensuring easy daily access.

Transportation & Logistics

Queretaro airport is closest with shuttle services available. Leon airport is another option with ground transportation.

Yes, shuttle services operate from both Queretaro and Leon airports directly to San Miguel accommodations.

Local transportation is reliable with buses, Uber, taxis, and walking being primary options for getting around town.
